Kompany from Hamburg, anything from £6m to £10m

Impossible, obviously, as we're bankrupt and going down with a seven zillion point deduction, so I must be imagining it.

Yeah and at 22 well over the hill and a typical last pay day for the gold digger and a distinct lack of ambition by our Les.

The only negative is that we are more in need of an RM and striker.

And anyway jds, he'll do a runner when we are instantly relegated to the East Manchester Sunday League. Or worse: the SPL.

Clearly never going to happen for the reasons stated above...but I would be rather happy if this deal was concluded by the club (strict medical needed though...), DM or CB or even better (given that we are DOOOOOMED) Neg-why mk2 ;)

Now erm Lezzoh this RM and Striker problem thingy that we have...a season long loan for SWP would be nice now that 'appy 'arry has touted it as an option.

Just imagine, Millito and SWP to link up with Jo.Still guessing that one of Ireland or Elano will be sold.Given the age of Kompany we could be starting to build a dynasty here.

Someone will be sold, and it'll be used as ammo by the DAGM's that we're skint.
You know, the same ones who complained we had 53 players and no leftback BITD.

I must say I'm underwhelmed, not by him, don't know anything about him, but by the fact its not a position we need to fill in my opinion, I do think we need a better left back, which he isn't (and Ben haim doesn't look one either). Given we bought Ben Haim I wonder why we need essentially another centre back, or has hughes decided he doesn't like somebody else ? When he arrived hughes talked about balance, and i don't see either of these as balancing anything, unless we're going down the rangers route of getting to a UEFA Cup Final (god forbid).

Not overly fussed about getting another striker, but we do need a right midfield, and a hard nosed bastard CM, and these would be my priority buys, though frankly I'd trade 5 or 6 of the others out if I had a chance. I'd personally get rid of Ball, Dunne, Ireland, Vassell, Benjani, and even possibly Elaineo, that's before those like Castillo, and Bianchi who never play anyway, and the dead leg Mills (did Corradi go in the end ?). Too many wimps in the squad for me, we need more grit, as so far we have followed on the way we finished last season.

There's some funny rumours about, like we're not playing Bianchi because we need to make another payment after his next game, we've allegedly defaulted on a payment to the ukranian mafia I mean Shaktar for Elaineo, there was even a suggestion that an installment on Corluka was behind the Spuds fiasco (I still think he'll go before deadline day). Shinawatra borrowing against next season's SKY money too ? Its easy to take the Michael out of those who think its doom and gloom, but clearly all is not well behind the scenes (as usual), so I'll await jumping into either camp thanks.

Saying on Sky it's now a done deal and he's joined. I know he's absolutely shit hot in Champ Manager 08 and keeps better and better which I'm sure will re-assure you of his quality. He's also a right footed defender/defensive midfielder in the game so maybe he'll not be playing central defence. Can't be arsed looking around to see if he's really good in real life, I'll stick with the fantasy  ;D Our Lez knows what he's doing and is here for life. Shinny isn't dodgy, we're not skint, we're gonna win some silverware this season and erm... good gear this - want some?

I was guessing last night but his interview with mcfc.co.uk states that he's been told by Lezzoh that's he's here for DM duties. Of the limited views I've had of him he is pretty class in this role, athletic, sticks his foot in and generally doesn't fook about so he'll do for me. The fact he can also play CB and is highly regarded as a "bright" player is a bonus, only downside the odd injury.

From the official site...

Quote
MCFC: You can play in a couple of positions what has Mark Hughes told you about your role here for City?

VK: “I’ve been told that I’m going as a defensive midfielder. I like this position a lot so I’m happy with that. I can play as a central defender as well and if the job needs to be done there then I can do that as well as anyone else and still bring something to the team. It’s up to the Manager.”

Now for another striker and more importantly right midfielder!!!

Too many rumours to even bother with but the cash flow thing seems to be the key but no-one actually knows anything but rather than say that they're making up inside sources instead, the Rolando one seems to be based upon the fact that (including sub) he made 24 appearances for us last season and erm that is it, the payment that FIFA are looking into re Elano is a one off "solidarity payment" or compo for their development of Elano, which to me seems a bit fookin rude seeing how he started his career with Gurani FC and moved clubs a couple of times after that before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in 2004 a fair few years later.

It'll all come out in the wash I'm sure...but there are deffo a few things that aren't all tickety boo behind the scenes.
