sorry had to get that off my chest, just had our inspection, what the fcuk you have to do to get a good report is beyond me.  :-[

We're probably up in the next half term. Dreading it, and it's largely meaningless balls.

It's never enough to just be good at your job, you've got to be x% better than last time and be able to prove it. And you're being judged by people who no longer want to be teachers, idiots who got away from the chalk face to make a living stabbing their ex colleagues in the back.

A very distasteful symptom of a ridiculously over-regulated education system. The way university departments are graded is equally nonsensical as the quality of research, especially in the Humanities, can't be quantified, but the dumb oafs don't get it.

I pity you teachers with this sword hanging over your heads wielded by the pompous and the would-be powerful who long ago, in most cases, lost their q1ualifications to be judging good teaching.
