You're all friends on here, in an interweb way, so I'd like to tell you that, in my 70s, I got married on April 6th. on a yacht in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to a lady I used to go out with in the States from 1960-62. I am incredibly happy after some very miserable years, and hope you will be happy for me. We shall, at first, be splitting our time between Canada and the USA (Laramie, Wyoming.)One request. Please don't mention this on Facebook, for various reasons to do with family.

Life can be absolutely amazing, and like a bad Mills & Boon, but it has made me unbelievably happy again. I had settled for a life of crusty old bachelor, listening to music, reading, writing, watching footie, and here I am wed again. Hard to believe.

And Pewpee is going to Wemberlee! Life can be good.

Thanks all. I forgot to mention that the yacht was all decked out in sky-blue and white balloons, and even trailed some behind it. City blue lights after sunset too on the 6 hour sail. My new wife has started liking watching togger with me too and loves Tevez and, of course, wants Joe Hart's babies, though she's a tad past such things, though 7 years younger than I am.

The photos Dizzy refers to are on a wedding.com site, but I don't think big tough men like looking at wedding photos. I sent the name of it to her as I'll now have to share her with my new wife!

"Rum bugger" says a man who ends up in Wasilla, Alaska, from Stalybridge! Good God, nobody has EVER done that before in the history of mankind.

I do appreciate your kind words even though the flu I've got is horrendous. You're a pretty good lot underneath it all.

Thanks very much everyone. Doctor says the flu we both have takes between 4 and 8 weeks to get out of the system. Oh joy! It's the worst flu I've had in my incredibly long life.

Me, I'm absolutely knackered. Watched Stoke part 2 earlier then slept like a dead man. I actually thought I was straight back in work today which would have given me about 2 hours sleep but I cocked up my days and don't go back until tomorrow which is probably a good thing.
