Sounds like winter's biting deep out there Pups, with stories of several metres of snow getting back to the uk. You managing to keep warm?

Yeah thanks mate, it's "warmed up" this week and is 21F, whatever that is in real money, but also really windy which makes for fun driving conditions with snow drifts everywhere. Last couple of weeks it's been -25F which in any money is bloody cold! The biggest, strangest thing this year is it hasn't stopped snowing and we are buried in the stuff. My front yard is at least 2 foot deep.

It's minus 28Celsius here in Calgary today and a wind-chill of minus 40. After a mild winter this is a shock - but only a couple of inches of snow. But it could be worse. Like cruising off the Italian coast with a homicidal cowboy as Captain of the ship. Or watching City flirting with the old Third Division. Or living in Sc*nthorpe or Middlesbrough.

Very strange winter here in Bawston...this time last year we were covered in snow and I had 6 foot drifts at the end of my driveway from shovelling/snowblowing. This year, Feb 1 was 55 degrees F...and nary a touch of snow on t'ground.

I'll take that any day. Hope you are keeping warm in Alaska and Canada...you can keep the cold air though as far as I'm concerned.

50 degrees in Calgary today! Yeehaw! Odd to sit and watch City with the window open a bit in February.
