Happy New Year to everyone too, soon be moving house, well I hope its soon anyway.

I've just worked out that this new decade is the 6th that I've lived in, its a depressing thought, but in other ways to think of the changes that have happened in those 6 decades, its probably the most interesting time to have ever lived, so we shouldn't complain....

Steh - amazingly I've been given an Order of Canada - one of 50-odd out of 30 million this year - and I'm pretty overwhelmed. It's an OBE equivalent but Canada doesn't used UK awards. I join a whole lot of business tycoons, Philanthropists, major NHL ice hockey players, broadcasters, etc. Quite amazing. Anyway, I'll take a sky-blue affiliation into the hallowed club but what ticks me off is that I'll have to hire a dinner jacket for the Investiture by the Governor-General in Ottawa later this year - haven't worn one of those since 1959! Are there any bow ties in City colours in the club shop I wonder? Sriously, it's pretty humbling.

Wow who'd have thought stringing a few lines of prose and mooching about in an old blue Triumph could get you such a thing? If that's the yardstick they'd surely make me a god if I moved a few inches to the right of the map?!!!
Seriously, well done mate. Very impressive. Can I tell people I know you? ;)
